Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility and Licensing Minimum age for rental is 21 years.

Renters must hold a valid Omani Driving License or an International Driving Permit approved by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The renter is solely responsible for ensuring that their license is recognized and valid in Oman.

2. Rental Duration, Payment & Refunds

Rental contracts are issued for a fixed period and cannot be refunded or reduced in price if the vehicle is returned early.

Payment must be made in full at the time of agreement, using credit card, debit card, or cash.

All rental prices are inclusive of base vehicle usage but exclude additional charges or optional services.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit between 50 to 150 OMR is required, payable via credit card hold or cash.

The deposit will be returned within 5 business days after the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition, with no outstanding violations or damages.

4. Insurance & Damage

Optional Full Coverage Insurance is available for 45 OMR per rental. Without this, the renter is responsible for all damages.

Any accident or damage must be reported to the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and a police report must be obtained for insurance validity.

In the event of an accident, the renter must not admit fault and should inform Elite Auto Rent A Car immediately.

5. Traffic Fines and Legal Responsibility

The renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations, fines, tolls, and legal liabilities incurred during the rental period.

If Elite Auto Rent A Car is involved in any legal proceedings or fined, the renter shall bear all associated costs, including legal representation fees.

6. Vehicle Use Policy

Vehicles may not be driven outside Oman without prior written approval.

Off-road driving is strictly prohibited unless authorized in writing.

Smoking, pets, and carrying flammable or illegal materials are not allowed inside the vehicles.

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level and in clean condition to avoid additional charges.

7. Additional Services & Fees

Additional Driver Fee: 10 OMR per driver (must be declared at time of rental).

Pickup/Drop-Off Service: 30 OMR per service (e.g., 60 OMR for both pickup and drop-off).

Chauffeur Service: Available at up to 50 OMR per day with prior booking.

Late Return Fee: Rentals returned after the agreed time will incur a daily charge or part thereof, based on the vehicle category.

8. Corporate & Long-Term Clients

Special conditions, pricing, and contract structures apply to corporate clients and monthly lease agreements. These may include flexible billing, dedicated support, and fleet options.

A separate corporate lease agreement will be signed outlining these terms.

9. Breakdown and Emergency

In case of mechanical failure, the renter must immediately contact Elite Auto Rent A Car for 24/7 roadside assistance.

Unauthorized repairs are prohibited and may void any coverage or compensation.

10. Termination & Liability

Elite Auto Rent A Car reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without notice if the vehicle is misused, laws are violated, or rental terms are breached.

Any use of the vehicle for criminal activities will result in full cooperation with local authorities and legal action.

11. Jurisdiction

All rental agreements are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.

In the event of disputes, the competent courts in Muscat shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
